I am Austin Buss, I teach 8th grade, biology, anatomy and physiology, and applied sciences at Winside Public. I graduated from Sterling Public Schools, a D2 high school in southeast Nebraska. Sterling is the reason why I wanted to have a career in a small school. There is a sense of pride and community in these smaller places that you cannot find anywhere else. 

After high school I attended Kansas State University to study chemical engineering. I discovered that working in the engineering field would not be for me, so I switched majors and schools. I went to Wayne State College where I graduated in the spring of 2022 with my Bachelors of Science in Education. 

I look forward to my future years at Winside and helping guide our students to be successful young adults.
